Mark is kind and caring and humorous (bad Humour but he tries). He has helped people from many different walks of life. Athletes, elite yogis, people living with and beyond cancer, wheel chair users and people suffering from long term mental health issues. Due to this he has developed a softer approach, yes he will push you to be your best but he will not judge in any way, especially if you can not do a particular movement or asana as it is prescribed in a traditional text. Variations and adaptations are great and he loves to see people making progress.

This is why I practice Ashtanga, I hope you are inspired to join me.

Yoga is not only great for the body it is also great for the mind. I am a firm believer that the mind is the chief and the rest will follow and so when practicing yoga with a mind first philosophy I can reset my mood, recharge my mind and on the days that I can find my centre and work from there I can move with peace and joy. The body slowly adapts to what I’m doing and I happily let it take its time and watch what it is saying from within.

Mark Smith

Have been practising Ashtanga yoga for 12 years and 3 years Iyengar. I feel I have improved my practise with Mark. He is an excellent, fun, calm, inspirational teacher. He makes small adjustments and assists with poses that has made a real difference. I would highly recommend trying his classes they are suitable for all levels and are enjoyable and challenging at the same time.
